NRA Instructor Courses:
Pistol. (17 hrs)..........$225^
Rifle, Shotgun, Metallic Reloading. (10-24 hrs)..........$200^
These courses consist of 6 hours of 'Basic Instructor Training or BIT and 8 hours of course specific training (Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun). To enroll in this course you must first pass a Pre-Qualifying exam consisting of hands-on demonstrations of firearms knowledge Skills, and Attitude. In the Pre-Qualification, Inst. candidates will demo: Loading/Unloading, Clearing stoppages, Shooting an actual firearm, & and Instructor Interview.
As NRA Training Counselors it is at our sole discretion to accept /train anyone as an Instructor Candidate and certify anyone as an Instructor. Instructor candidates must show a true spirit of altruism and love of the firearms community. Those looking to make a quick buck and to just be an SDA Instructor need not apply.
NRA Range Safety Officer Course. (9 Hrs)..........$120^
This course is nine hours long and is conducted in a classroom and at a shooting facility. Range Safety Officer candidates will learn roles and responsibilities of an RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); range inspection; range rules; range briefings; emergency procedures; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions. Each Range Safety Officer Candidate will receive an RSO Student Study Guide, a Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, an NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, an Instructor Application/Course Evaluation form.
NRA Basic Pistol Course. (8 Hrs)..........$100^
This course is 8-hours and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate.
NRA First Steps Pistol. (4 Hrs) ..........$50^
NRA FIRST Steps Pistol is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one specific pistol action type for classes of four or fewer students. This course is at least three hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a specific pistol action type. Students will learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; the particular pistol model parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, FIRST Steps Course completion certificate
NRA Basic Rifle. (14 Hrs) ..........$100^
This course is at least 14 hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot rifles. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions; cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate
NRA Basic Shotgun. (10 hrs) ..........$100^
This course is ten-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning how to shoot shotguns at moving targets. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; shotgun parts and operation; shotgun shell components; shotgun shell malfunctions; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting at straight away and angled targets; cleaning; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Shotgun Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Shotgun Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate.
Intro to SDA Instruction. (4 hrs) ..........$150^

NRA Basic Metallic Reloading. (8 hrs) ..........$50^
This course is eight hours in length and is conducted in a classroom. Each student is taught reloading safety; center fire cartridge components; using the reloading manual and reloading data; equipment; and the metallic cartridge reloading process. Students will receive the NRA Guide to Reloading handbook, the Basic Reloading Student Exam, a course completion certificate.
Oklahoma SDA Carry Course. (8 hrs) ..........$50^
In this course we combine the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act and firearm safety. You will learn about the laws of imminent danger, assault, deadly and non-deadly force, and other laws pertaining to carrying concealed in Oklahoma. Safety is paramount here with us and we want you to have the utmost confidence when you carry your firearm in self-defense. Your satisfaction is guaranteed! This Class is FREE for active duty military & Disabled Vets
You will need the following:
A semi-automatic pistol with 50 rounds of ammunition.
Ear protection.
Eye Protection.
Pen and scratch paper.
Semi-automatic pistols, ear protection, and eye protection are available upon request.
Ladies Only SDA/Carry Class. (8hrs) ..........$50^
In this class it has the same content as our normal SDA class, but it consists of only female students. No males allowed ;-)
Utah Non-Resident Concealed Carry Course. (3 hrs) ..........$60^ - *currently not offered
In this course we teach you: Utah Legal instruction including Justifiable Force, Citizen’s Arrest, Reciprocity, Firearm transport, etc. CCW General Firearm safety, Escalation of Force, Criminal & Civil Liability will also be discussed. Safety is paramount here with us and we want you to have the utmost confidence when you carry your firearm in self-defense. Your satisfaction is guaranteed! Utah license fee is $65.25, Valid for 5 years, $10 renewal fee.
There is NO shooting portion in this class
